| Benka’s World Book Day Donation | | Ljubljana, Slovenia, 23. april 2008 |  Benka celebrated this year’s World Book Day by donating copies of her latest bestseller, Pocestnica, to the Slovene public and secondary school libraries.
This lover of books has enjoyed reading since her early childhood, and believes books should be easily and readily available. When she examined the demand within Slovene libraries, she found there were long waiting lists for her autobiography.
She personally presented the first donation at her literature evening, in the Central Koroška Library of Franc Sušnik, in Ravne na Koroškem. The public was thrilled with her gesture. The library management commented that they aren’t used to receiving donations of bestsellers, and especially not direct from the author. |
