| The Republic of Slovenia Award to Pocestnica | | Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia, 24. october 2008 | The Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Cultural Activities has unanimously presented an award for Benka's bestseller. Pocestnica was recognized as the best book published by an author in 2007. “The form, as well as this biographic travelogue’s content, is very refined and masterfully polished. The book is warm, witty, and funny, and at the same time educates on several levels. It is a unique travel books that keeps the readers' attention and gives them wings,” wrote the expert jury, presided over by Dragica Breskvar.
Benka is proud to receive yet another the award for her work. Expressing her satisfaction with the opinion of the literary professionals, the author stated, “This indicates that not only common people, for whom the book was written, enjoy laying their hands on Pocestnica; even those who usually prefer to criticize can't refuse it.”
